Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategicMaterial Managerto oversee the planning, procurement, and management of materials required for production and operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the availability of the right materials at the right time, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining cost efficiency while meeting organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Material Planning and Procurement : Develop and implement material planning strategies to meet production schedules and operational requirements. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials within budget and on time. Inventory Management : Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Conduct regular audits of inventory and ensure accurate record-keeping. Supplier Relationship Management : Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Cost Control : Analyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Work closely with finance and production teams to control budgets and expenditures. Quality Assurance : Ensure all materials meet the required quality standards and compliance regulations. Address and resolve issues related to defective or substandard materials. Collaboration and Coordination : Collaborate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure seamless material flow. Liaise with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs accurately. Reporting and Documentation : Prepare detailed reports on material usage, costs, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
