Job Description Business Finance Controller -CSS Business Unit Position:Business Finance Location:Chennai Position Summary: This position will collaborate with the BU Head, work under the functional guidance of the CFO and BFC to co-own the P&L and effectively manage the finances of the high-growth Services Business Unit. The incumbent should have demonstrated capabilities in FP&A, rolling forecasts, releasing timely and accurate management reports with variance analysis and insights, sound financial acumen to recommend key business decisions, capital budgeting, working capital management, eye for detail, and passion to constantly improve profitability and return on investment. Primary Responsibilities and Key Functions: Financial Management, Reporting, Analytics, and Decision Support Assist BU Head and the BFC in developing a robust financial plan and model aligned with the business plan, short- and long-term organizational goals. Perform periodical and timely management reporting and ad-hoc business analysis. Present recommendations to BU Head and BFC on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives. Conduct Annual Business Planning, MIS Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Variance Analysis, Financial Modelling, Budgeting, Pricing Evaluation, and Cost Control. Collaborate with Program Managers and business teams, showcasing strong stakeholder management skills. Proposal Evaluation and Reviews Assist Lines of Business heads/Functional heads in evaluating new proposals/initiatives/pricing requirements, incorporating granular variables and highlighting deviations. Facilitate weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews (WBR, MBR, QBR) with actionable insights for improving business metrics over time. Profitability and Risk Management Manage P&L reports, CapEx plans, Free Cash Flow, and Balance Sheets to ensure planning integrity. Evaluate and articulate operating and financial risks with mitigation suggestions for the ERM framework. Stakeholder Coordination Build effective relationships with Operations, HR, SCM, IT, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to optimize business operations. Additional Duties Inspect and approve major vendor contracts, manage exposure in inventory and receivables, and support the monthly book closure process. Participate in organizational initiatives like office automation, API integrations, and BRD/UAT contributions. IT Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred. Person Specification: Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
