Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. This position involves installing, maintaining, and servicing fire alarm systems for a diverse range of commercial and residential properties. As a key member of our technical team, you will ensure that all fire alarm systems meet safety regulations, standards, and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Commissioning:Install fire alarm systems including control panels, detectors, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Maintenance & Service:Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and testing of existing fire alarm systems to ensure optimal functionality. Troubleshooting & Repairs:Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in fire alarm systems, providing effective and timely solutions. System Upgrades:Recommend and implement system upgrades, expansions, or modifications to improve system performance and meet new standards. Compliance & Documentation:Ensure all systems meet local, state, and national fire safety codes. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and installations. Customer Interaction:Provide excellent customer service, including explaining system operations and offering recommendations to clients on fire safety practices. Safety Awareness:Always adhere to safety standards and promote a safe working environment for both yourself and others. Qualifications & Skills: Experience:Minimum of 1 years of hands-on experience as a Fire Alarm Technician role in the industry. Certification:NICET certification or equivalent recognized fire alarm training is preferred. Technical Expertise:In-depth knowledge of fire alarm systems, including conventional and addressable systems, smoke detectors, and alarm panels. Problem-Solving:Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems effectively. Communication:Excellent communication skills to explain technical information clearly to clients and team members. Regulatory Knowledge:Familiarity with local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations. Driver’s License:Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
