Key responsibilities include guiding regional managers during audits, cross-verifying observations, conducting surprise branch visits, and summarizing findings for senior management. The position also requires compiling alerts, verifying compliance reports, maintaining records, and recommending report closures. Additionally, the role involves reporting findings to the Head – Branch Audit, ensuring corrective actions are implemented, assisting in closing audit findings within the specified TAT, and submitting TA & DA to the Accounts Department. The role works closely with the Business & Development Department to resolve audit observations promptly.Job Responsibilities: Report findings systematically to the Head – Branch Audit & Vigilance and Management/Audit Committee, ensuring corrective actions are implemented. Summarize weekly and monthly branch audit plans and reports as per Dy./State Head – Branch Audit & Vigilance. Guide Branch Audit & Vigilance team members during branch audits, surprise audits, investigations, and risk-based audits. Summarize major alert observation reports and recommend closures to the Head – Branch Audit & Vigilance. Coordinate with Dy./State Head – Branch Audit & Vigilance and other departments as needed. Ensure audit reports meet quality standards and are compiled and submitted on time. Compile weekly alerts, complete branch audit alerts, and submit reports to the Head – Branch Audit & Vigilance. Prepare and send monthly consolidated alert reports (branch-wise) to the respective Heads of Branch Audit. Verify compliance reports from branches and recommend closure to Head – Branch Audit & Vigilance after review. Maintain records and data related to Branch Audit & Vigilance, ensuring timely follow-ups. Submit TA & DA reports to the Accounts Department as per policy. Assist in closing audit findings within the given TAT and follow up with branches to ensure compliance. Review daily audit reports and major alert observation reports for accuracy. Conduct surprise branch visits, ensuring at least two visits per month. Cross-verify branch audit observations and support the audit team in meeting report quality standards. Liaise with the Business & Development Department to resolve audit observations and ensure prompt compliance. Monitor and support the functioning of the Branch Audit & Vigilance team, ensuring audits are thorough and efficient.Skills Required: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities for accurate audit analysis. Effective team leadership, conflict resolution, and collaboration skills. Clear verbal and written communication skills for presenting findings and preparing reports. Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities. Proficiency in audit tools, data analysis, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong understanding of compliance requirements and risk management. Ability to develop and adapt audit plans with a focus on continuous improvement. High integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Flexibility and resilience in adapting to changing conditions and pressures. Proven experience in internal and branch auditing. Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (written and verbal). Preference for candidates with proficiency in additional regional languages. Willingness to travel across India on short notice and adapt to varying work environments and hours.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Post Graduate degree with 1 to 8 years of relevant experience in a management role within the Branch Audit Department of an NBFC, Microfinance Institution (MFI), or BFSI sector, demonstrating expertise in leading audit functions and implementing effective control measures.
