Learn more at ."Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Global Engineering Center team to execute International and Local projects in India. The ideal candidate will have between 6-10 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those who have worked in an EPC environment, international project experience.Core Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical design of WTP / ETP / STP / WWTP / Desal treatment plants, including the selection and sizing of equipment such as pumps, compressors, Blowers, heat exchangers, dewatering devices, and other mechanical components excluding tanks and pressure vessels. Ensure seamless integration of these components into the overall treatment system. Equipment Specification and Procurement / RFQ:Prepare technical specifications for mechanical equipment and work with vendors to procure the required components. Evaluate equipment proposals and make recommendations based on technical and budgetary considerations. Confirm compliance with customer specifications for equipment and material types; Prepare equipment List, equipment datasheets, valve lists, Component datasheet etc.) Review and approve drawings and documents from Vendors. Interface with Process, Civil / Structural, Piping, Instrumentation Engineers for complete engineering work. Collaborate with Technical project manager to plan and execute projects on time and on budgeted manhours. Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and progress assessments to ensure project objectives are met. Perform engineering calculations to assess the performance and reliability of mechanical systems. Address technical challenges and propose solutions to optimize system performance. Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all mechanical designs and installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices. Conduct quality control reviews to verify design integrity and safety. Cost Estimation and Budget Management: Collaborate with the project team to prepare cost estimates for mechanical components and equipment. Identify cost-saving opportunities where applicable.Position Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. At least 5+ years' experience in mechanical engineering with expertise in water and/or wastewater treatment systems. Familiar with industrial standards like ANSI, ASME, API, etc. Strong understanding of various mechanical components and equipment used in water and/or wastewater treatment systems.
