The company specializes in developing, manufacturing, and marketing innovative construction materials, and offer one of the most extensive product ranges on the market.Position Overview:The Quality Control Chemist is responsible for conducting tests and inspections on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. This role supports product development, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction while maintaining proper laboratory practices and documentation.Key Responsibilities:Testing and Trials: Conduct concrete trials to develop products that meet customer requirements. Perform tests on incoming raw materials and finished products according to DCP Test Methods and Specifications. Conduct in-process inspections to ensure packaging and process quality.Customer and Sales Support: Assist the sales team by providing required test certificates and arranging free samples for site trials.Equipment and Calibration: Execute internal calibration of laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of test results, procedures, and documents in compliance with BIS IS9103 and ISO requirements. Prepare reports for management review in collaboration with the Quality Manager.Quality Control and Expired Materials Management: Test finished goods and raw materials for reprocessing or discarding expired materials. Manage counter samples and recycle/discard them as per management policy.Good Laboratory Practices: Adhere to and maintain good laboratory practices, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Assist the Quality Manager with new assignments and other quality-related tasks as needed.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, ideally in construction or related industries. Knowledge of concrete testing and raw material inspection methods. Familiarity with BIS IS9103 and ISO quality standards. Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation. Ability to work collaboratively with the Quality Manager and other team members.
