Find out more by clicking:Purpose of the role:This role ofEngineer – Cost estimation and Proposal Cellreports directly to Head-Proposals and will be responsible for cost estimation and customized / tailor-made proposals coupled with tender submission in the designated territory. This position will be responsible for the timely completion of costing and proposal/tender in consultation with Design, SCM, Services, Production, and Assembly and guidance from Head-Proposals. He will be solely responsible for enquiry management system including cost estimation and proposals in the designated territory. The onus of the accuracy of inputs from internal departments lies with this role.Key Responsibilities:Enquiry analysis with clear demarcation of scope and decision of doing in-house and sub-contracting based on manufacturing capability. Customer interaction to understand the requirement with all clarity. Articulate the requirements of customers to get inputs from various stakeholders. Management of cost inputs in an effective manner to reduce the time of deliverables. Periodic monitoring of cost factors (domestic and international factors) including currency fluctuation to revalidate the costing under intimation to the marketing team. Preparation of price reasonability/justification by applying various applicable factors to convince customers. Data mining of factors which impacts costing. Coordination with multiple departments to make a tailor-made proposal aligned to customers’ requirements. Proven track record of submission of private and government tenders. Technical discussions with customers in understanding issues and pre-dimensioning at the site for coordination. Management of costing and proposals for easy traceabilityPersonality traits / Competencies:Strong written and spoken English and presentation skills Proven ability to manage costing & proposals in a dynamic environment Strong work ethic, high energy level, motivation, and enthusiasm Competent with MS-Office SAP operation acquaintance is a must The ability to understand and communicate in Hindi is a must.Job Specifications/Profile: Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Previous experience of minimum of 4 years in the capital goods industry Previous experience in costing and proposals for Engineered-To-Order goods (preferably rotary equipment).
