Position Overview: The System Completion Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the completion of systems in an oil and gas refinery or industrial project. This includes ensuring that all systems and subsystems are constructed, installed, inspected, and tested in compliance with design specifications and ready for commissioning. Additionally, the role incorporates critical responsibilities of a Commissioning and start-up support, ensuring seamless transition from mechanical completion to operational readiness.Key Responsibilities:System Completion Responsibilities: Lead the system completion process, ensuring adherence to project schedules and standards. Develop and manage the System Completion Plan, including systemization and tracking of systems and subsystems. Oversee punch list management, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and closure of incomplete or defective items. Ensure proper documentation, including Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCCs) and Ready-for-Commissioning (RFC) and Ready-for-Startup (RSU) status for all systems. Coordinate with construction, engineering, and quality teams to verify that systems meet project requirements. Conduct and manage system walk-downs, ensuring proper handover of systems from construction to commissioning teams. Provide oversight of commissioning activities to ensure a smooth transition from system completion to start-up. Collaborate with the Commissioning Manager/Lead to review pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup procedures. Assist in the calibration, testing, and validation of equipment, ensuring operational readiness. Manage system readiness for hydro-testing, flushing, and leak testing. Support the integration of safety and operational checks, including Emergency Shutdown (ESD) and fire protection systems. Monitor and enforce adherence to safety standards during commissioning and startup activities. Oversee handover documentation, including Ready-for-Startup (RFSU) and As-Built drawings.Qualifications and Skills:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical).Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in system completion, commissioning, or project management in the oil and gas industry. Proven track record in large-scale refinery, petrochemical, or industrial projects.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of system completion methodologies, commissioning processes, and relevant codes/standards. Proficient in systemization tools and software (e.g., ICAPS, WinPCS, or similar). Knowledge of DCS, PLCs, and safety systems (SIS/ESD).Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and coordination skills.
