Job Description

Role: Senior Cloud Engineer Job Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain IaC to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure components. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of applications and integrate automated testing. Use tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate the configuration and management of servers and infrastructure. Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to track system and application performance. Set up and manage centralized logging for applications and infrastructure. Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand and address their needs, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility. Work with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) for scalable and automated deployment of applications. Write scripts and code to automate tasks and processes using languages like Python, Bash, or Golang. Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures. Possess a basic understanding of networking and infrastructure setup in a web hosting/delivery environment. Experience in system hardening and knowledge of information security best practices. Architect, design, and implement server environments from development through production. Deploy and troubleshoot complex web applications or microservices that rely on components like relational and NoSQL databases, caching layers, external APIs, and CDNs. Demonstrate a good understanding of change and version management practices. Exhibit a high level of accountability and take ownership of responsibilities. Experience in creating and maintaining secure cloud environments using industry best practices. Broad and deep experience with web operations, from automation of server provisioning to cloud computing.Qualification Is Education overrated? Yes. We believe so. However there is no way to locate you otherwise. So unfortunately we might have to look for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from a reputed institute or you should be programming from 12. Proven experience of 3-6 years as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer. Good analytical, communication, problem solving, and learning skills Experience in programming against cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency in GCP services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, and load balancing. Experience with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages. Hands-on experience with Terraform or Deployment Manager for IaC. Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD workflows.
