1. POSITION VACANT: Manager- Fundraising, Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, New Delhi2. ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:Established in 1914,Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH)is one of the oldest and largest eyecare institutions in the country.SCEHprovides state-of-the-art and comprehensive eyecare services through a team of highly experienced and well-trained physicians, who are deeply committed to patient care.SCEHhas completed 100 years of existence and along with its tertiary center in New Delhi, has seven regional surgical hubs across the states of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. The organization has a staff and trainee complement of 1,500 persons and performs 50,000 sight-restoring surgeries as well as provides clinical services to 500,000 patients across its service footprint, each year.SCEHworks on a cross-subsidy model and performs 50% of its surgeries free, or at highly subsidized rates. It works in close partnership with leading international players in community eye health, as well as some of the best-known corporates in India. The core verticals of the organization are ophthalmology service delivery, community eye care, research, and medical education.For more information about the organization, please visit JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting to theDirector - Projects & Strategy,theManager- Fundraising (MFR)shall be an accomplished fundraiser with responsibility for the following.KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:(A) Fundraising Strategy and Execution: (1) Understand the funding needs of the organization, commensurate with its growth plans; (2) Work in collaboration with the leadership team in developing fundraising strategies and associated initiatives for successfully implementing the same.(B) Develop External Funding Prospects: (1) Scan the donor landscape and actively research relevant databases to identify prospective donors who align with the organization’s mission, vision, and value propositions; (2) Filter such leads to identify clear prospects; (3) Develop and submit fundraising proposals in consultation with internal and external stakeholders that best reflect and match the organization’s needs, as well as donor priorities; (4) Cultivate and nurture donors across the life cycle of their grants; (5) Create depth and breadth in donor and funding relationships.(C) Internal Leads: (1) Connect with internal stakeholders to help identify meaningful leads; (2) Develop the funding proposal in consultation with the stakeholders; (3) Engage with and update stakeholders through quality communications.(D) Existing Donors: (1) Maintain a high degree of connect with donors even after the release of their funding; (2) Become the donor’s voice within the organization, ensuring their sensibilities are respected and all commitments are complied with.(E) Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking forums to represent the organization. Solidify existing connections and identify new opportunities.(F) Business Targets: Contribute effectively to the organization's business target by developing appropriate strategies.(G) Documentation: (1) Foster a customer-centric culture within the Optical Department, promoting excellent customer service and patient satisfaction; (2) Address patient concerns and feedback to continuously improve service quality.4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:Qualifications and Experience: (1) Applicants must have an MBA or equivalent qualification; (2) At least 10-15 years of relevant experience in raising funds through corporate partnerships, individual donors and/or institutional grants; (3) Sound knowledge of proposal writing.Essential Skills and Competencies: (1) Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); (2) Demonstrated experience and ability to research and identify prospects, make compelling pitches, and build robust networks; (3) Ability to articulate the organizations’ position and needs at various forums; (4) Influencing skills; (5) Storytelling and ability to sell; (6) Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Asana and CRM tools; (7) Politeness and empathy; (8) A problem solver with the ability to get things done; (9) Ability to thrive under pressure and demonstrate flexibility to meet tight deadlines; (10) Keen listener and communicator; (11) Inclusive and approachable; (12) Ability to travel 15%-20% of the time; (13) Demonstrated collaboration and team management skills.5.
