Strong negotiation, analytical, and collaboration skills are essential.Role & responsibilities: Strategy: Providing direction to achieve the desired long-term and short-term objectives. Develop and execute strategic plans for the procurement and management of raw materials (dyes and chemicals) Ensure timely availability of material (dyes and chemicals) Plan for cost reduction initiatives in conjunction with the vendors Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align raw material strategies with production schedules, sales forecasts, and market demands. Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers for dyes and chemicals Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure favourable agreements and maintain a consistent supply chain Establish and monitor quality standards to ensure that materials meet the required specifications for production. Develop inventory forecasting models and strategies to minimize wastage and maximize cost-efficiency. Analyze market trends, pricing, and industry dynamics to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality. Continuously assess and improve processes related to the sourcing, handling, and utilization of raw materials, aiming for efficiency and sustainability.Operations: Executing the strategies to achieve the business goals. Execute plans for the procurement and management of raw materials (dyes and chemicals) Manage inventory levels effectively to prevent shortages or overages, optimizing stock levels based on production needs and market demands. Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures for incoming raw materials. Ensure monitoring / reporting on all key performance indicators.Preferred candidate profile:Education:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Chemistry, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPM, CSCP) is a plus. Experience:5+ years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, specifically with dyes and chemicals or similar raw materials.
