Job Summary:The MYP English Teacher is responsible for providing a stimulating learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB). The teacher will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for the English . Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Planning and Delivery: Design and implement MYP English curriculum in alignment with IB standards. Develop and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to the needs of diverse learners. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students. 2.Assessment and Evaluation: Create and administer formative and summative assessments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students. Use assessment data to inform instruction and support student progress. 3.Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Implement effective classroom management strategies. Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities. Stay current with educational best practices and IB developments. Collaborate with colleagues to share strategies and resources. munication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Prepare progress reports and conduct parent-teacher conferences. Engage in regular collaboration with the IB Coordinator and other faculty members. 6.Extracurricular Involvement: Support and participate in school events and extracurricular activities. Mentor students and contribute to their holistic development. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Teaching certification/licensure for the relevant grade level. Experience teaching in the IB Middle Years Programme preferred. Strong knowledge of MYP philosophy, framework, and assessment criteria.
