Position: Director – Technical & Compliance Whole-time Director on the Board of Panacea Biotec Pharma Limited. Key Responsibilities: A. Technical & Regulatory Compliances - (Pharma & Vaccines) Ensure compliance of all regulatory norms pertaining to Safety, Health, Environment, and Welfare across all plants. Ensure compliances pertaining to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and rules thereunder as amended from time to time across all plants. Act as an Occupier of the factory as defined under the Factories Act ‘1948 Effectively monitoring the overall S.H.E. compliances in line with the defined business objectives and develop and monitor implementation of S.H.E. policy Liaise with the S.H.E. Managers across plant locations over the full range of their duties and responsibilities, with respect to inspection, audits and CAPA as per inspection / audit report recommendations. Ensure safe working environment in plants by providing proper safeguards to dangerous parts of machines, by ensuring proper training of the workers in safe operating procedures, by providing adequate information about the hazardous properties of the chemicals and process. Ensure adequate means of distributing and communicating safety, health, environment and welfare information obtained from various sources regarding new legislation requirements and new techniques of accident prevention. Set a personal example at all times by using the correct personal protective clothing / equipment and following all safety requirements and procedures. Ensure compliance to the Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, Drugs (Price Control) Order, Weights & Measures Act, and Drugs and Magic Remedies (objectionable advertisements) Act ‘1954. Ensure compliance to the Factories Act, 1948 across Plant Locations and ensure that the duties imposed by the Factories Act 1948 are executed with due diligence. Ensure that adequate processes and systems relating to aforesaid are in place for proper execution of day to day activities. B. Talent Acquisition & Talent Building in Pharma Operations Assess and diagnose Plant’s performance & talent gaps and work with COO, Site Heads, Plant Heads & HR to implement talent management strategy, ensuring alignment among talent development, performance management, talent acquisition, talent identification and assessment, and succession planning initiatives. C . Coach and Guide in Pharma Operations 13 .Coach and Guide employees in Operations to identify areas for self-development, broaden horizon of thinking, guidance in execution excellence, identify key priority areas and focus on optimizing current and future performance in sync with organizational goals. 14. Find out the root cause for failures in operations, low performance, and inappropriate behavior and support them to prepare the mitigation plan and track progress to help them to meet their goals and achieve operational excellence. D . Change Management for Growth in Pharma Operations 15. Focus on the people side of change, including change to business processes, systems, technology, job roles and organization structure. 16 . Ensuring implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption, usage and minimize resistance 17 . Ensure change management initiatives benefit organization in value creation, achievement of results and outcomes E . Government Affairs & Liasoning in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab - (Pharma and Vaccines) 18 . Look after Government Affairs w.r.t. obtaining various approvals / licenses / clearances from time to time with different ministries 19. Effective Liaisoning & Lobbying with concerned Key Regulatory Officials of Zones and State Government.
