About the Role: At Unreconciled , we take the stress out of finance by providing outsourced financial management solutions for businesses in the UK and the US. As a growing offshored finance firm, we specialise in managing finance functions for mid-sized businesses, including bookkeeping, payroll, financial reporting, and investor-ready presentations. We are looking for a motivated Associate to join our collaborative team. In this fast-paced, hands-on role, you will play a crucial part in managing day-to-day financial operations for our clients, helping businesses grow while ensuring their financials are always in capable hands. This role offers significant growth opportunities and will eventually lead to a Controller role within the next 5 years. Key Responsibilities: Bookkeeping & Reconciliations : Accurately manage bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled. Cash Flow Management & Reporting : Prepare cash flows, manage accounts payable/receivable, and assist in generating management reports to give clients real-time insights into their financial health. Accrual Basis Accounting & Revenue Recognition : Work on accrual accounting processes and assist in recognising revenue accurately for clients. Month-End Journals : Post month-end journal entries, ensuring that all financial records are updated and accurate. Client Communication : Respond to live client chats and emails, providing timely updates and assisting with inquiries. Work closely with the management team to resolve client queries. Agenda Preparation : Prepare agendas for meetings, ensuring important topics are addressed with clients and team members. Qualifications & Skills: Experience : Minimum of 1 year in an accounting or finance role, ideally in a similar offshored or client-facing environment. Educational Qualification : ACCA Affiliate or equivalent qualification. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Excel . Familiarity with double-entry accounting systems and general finance tools. Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and clients. Key Attributes: Attention to Detail : Ability to manage complex tasks with precision and ensure financial accuracy. Problem-Solving : Proactive in identifying issues and providing solutions to keep projects on track. Quick Learning : Ability to rapidly adapt to new tools, systems, and processes.
