Role : Product Manager Point of Sale Extensibility PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The POS Product manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, enhancement, and maintenance of Inspire Brands POS systems extensibility, ensuring it meets customer needs, and aligns with overall strategic goals. They collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize the performance and functionality of the POS product. Job Summary: Product Manager will have the responsibility to deliver Point of Sale products that power Inspire Brands technology stack. This position will play a critical role in driving the 12-36 months roadmap for our Team-facing point-of-sale extensibility solutions. Key responsibilities include intaking and prioritizing team members and business opportunities, assessing business cases for capital investment, defining core business requirements, and overseeing the delivery of technology solutions from multiple engineering teams across our IT organization as well as external vendors. The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset and possess the ability to execute complete tasks and projects effectively. He/She will regularly engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, partner with engineering to develop a roadmap of deliverables based on capacity, translate business needs and technology requirements to the x-functional delivery team or external vendors, and drive build or buy decisions concerning long-term strategy, negotiate with 3rd party vendors on contractual terms, provide transparencies into the progress of work while monitoring business impact, lead alignment on any trade-off decisions that involve several stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and report out key learnings and plans per results. In our fast-paced environment, we often have to switch gears at a moment’s notice and take effective action without having to know the total picture. He/she will react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround. This candidate has a deep understanding of, and ideally past experience working in complex services and solutions. An ideal candidate would have a mix of experience in product management, program management, or solutions. EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION: 5-7 years of modern product management practices, agile methodologies, and test-driven development experience Experience managing ecommerce or Point of Sale product channels, leading cross-functional teams in the delivery of products/services, coordinating development cycles and delivering against release schedules A proven track record of driving innovation and delivering outperformance to stated business goals REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES: Deep understanding of point of sale, consumer mindset, restaurant team member experience, design frameworks, and processes Strong analytical skills and an ability to lead data-driven discussions to drive alignment around prioritization and impact Equipped with the technical fluency to be capable of understanding technical constraints and prioritizing and discussing tradeoffs between development and business teams Knowledge of the range of activities related to the product development lifecycle (e.g. opportunity identification, product discovery, project execution, and post-launch performance measurement and management) Deep knowledge of agile delivery principles Ability to translate data-driven insights, business intent, customer needs, and/or technical direction into clear, concise, well-documented product requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills – capable of communicating in a way that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of widely varying audiences Excellent problem-solving skills – ability to adapt quickly to changing business priorities and overcome unexpected challenges Strong project/workflow management, prioritization, and negotiating skills Ability to influence cross-functional teams and deliver results; conscientious about meeting project deadlines Ability to select vendors for RFP, manage vendor relationships and contractual terms Passion for the restaurant industry and a strong desire to help shape the future at Inspire Brands with the entrepreneurial spirit Self-starter personality who can operate with minimal supervision
