Our Client is sponsored by a global conglomerate. Over the last two decades, Client Group has pioneered renewable energy, shipping & logistics, real estate & infrastructure, clean technology, and sustainability. In 2022, the group decided to venture into a Green Hydrogen and Ammonia business with a Houston headquarters. The company aims to build a capacity of 1 million tons of Green Ammonia from Renewable Energy sources in the next five years. This will require the development, financing, construction, and operations of renewable energy (Solar and Wind), green hydrogen, and green ammonia projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESYou will serve an AGM – Strategy & Finance the spectrum of work, including but not limited to:Identify and gather all the inputs to the project finance model by conducting market & product research, competitor analysis, studying the proposals/contracts, and partnering with the cross-functional leadership team.Take the lead in creating the detailed project finance model through number crunching and analysis. This includes creating forward-looking projections for 25 years (the life of a renewable asset).Support the capital raise due diligence process by walking the investors through the financial model and managing the data room.Partner with the leadership team to understand the critical risks associated with the project. Create and manage the risk register for a given project.Be a liaison for bid participation to a tender by collaborating with the consultant and the internal teams.Run sensitivities (upside, base, and downside) to stress test the financial model.Evaluate the project performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).Monitor and report the financial performance of the projects, including project cash flows, project returns, and project risks.Prepare periodic presentations for key stakeholders, including executives, investors, and other interested parties.Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to incorporate the latest assumptions in the financial model.Enhance the internal and external reporting capabilities by creating interactive dashboards and presenting them to the executive team.Work with the leadership team on strategic initiatives as required.REQUIREMENTSThe ideal candidate will meet the following minimum criteria:Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Financial Engineering, MBA, related field, or equivalent education.[5-7] years of experience with financial modeling in a fast-paced environment. Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Corporate Finance, or similar background.Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly create robust financial/valuation models from scratch while maintaining high quality.Advanced Excel modeling skills (expect Excel test as a part of the interview process).Ability to present information concisely and insightfully to senior managementTeam player who can manage multiple priorities and quickly adapt to the fast-paced environment.Some understanding of the renewable energy or green fuels industry is preferred.Familiarity with reading and extracting information from legal documents (NDA, LOI, MOU, licensing agreements, and other commercial contracts) preferred.
