Job Description

As an Sr. SRE Specialist, you will:Maintain and improve the CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust and efficient deployment of data engineering solutions.Manage and support Terraform-based infrastructure deployments, ensuring consistency and compliance with best practices.Oversee and optimize the Kubernetes environment, supporting workflows and applications, including Airflow.Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance team productivity and reduce manual effort.Collaborate with the data engineering team to design and implement infrastructure solutions aligned with project requirements.Develop and maintain documentation for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes.Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies, recommending improvements to existing systems and practices.Must-Have Experience:3+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a related role.Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, including their setup, maintenance, and optimization.Proven expertise in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code deployments.Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, including deploying and managing containerized applications.Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools, particularly Apache Airflow.Technical Skills:Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or Snowflake and their integration with CI/CD pipelines.Strong understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices in distributed systems.Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive mindset for issue resolution.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes Administrator, Terraform Associate) are highly desirable.Nice to Have:Experience in data engineering environments or familiarity with data pipeline tools and architectures.Exposure to Airflow’s integration with cloud platforms and containerized environments.Knowledge of DevOps best practices and their application in data workflows.Familiarity with MLOps concepts, including the deployment and operationalization of machine learning models in production environmentsWe live and breathe Rebellious Self Expression at Dr. Martens, and there are 3 core values at the heart of it.
