Overview The School Senior Procurement Executive for Non-Academic Procurements in Civil plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all civil and ancillary facilities required by the institution are sourced, negotiated, and procured efficiently. This position is vital for supporting the school's operational excellence, resource optimization, and overall mission by securing high-quality goods and services. The Senior Procurement Executive will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure compliance with policies and budgetary constraints. By developing strategic vendor relationships and optimizing procurement processes, the role helps foster a sustainable and cost-effective environment in which educational resources can thrive. An effective procurement strategy will not only contribute to immediate operational efficiency but also positively impact long-term financial planning and resource allocation for the school. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil projects and related non-academic purchases. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and industry trends. Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the school. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications. Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance. Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and delivery schedules. Oversee budgeting and financial planning for procurement activities. Prepare procurement reports and presentations for senior management. Ensure adherence to the school's procurement policies and compliance regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procurement best practices and industry regulations. Identify and mitigate procurement risks throughout the project lifecycle. Foster relationships with suppliers to encourage continuous improvement and innovation. Assist in training staff on procurement procedures and policies. Collaborate with legal teams to ensure contracts protect the school’s interests. Participate in cross-functional teams for project planning and execution. Handle procurement-related issues and disputes promptly and professionally. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management. Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices. Experience in civil procurement or related industries is highly desirable. Proficiency in procurement software and tools. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills. Ability to analyze data and derive insights for decision making. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting procurement. Commitment to ethical procurement practices. Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems efficiently. Willingness to participate in continuous professional development. Fluency in English and Kannada; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
