We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who thrive in collaborative environments and are driven to deliver impactful outcomes.Vihara is leading innovative projects focused on youth empowerment and family planning, designing engaging interventions that drive meaningful impact.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Intervention Tool and Game Development: Leading the effort on creating participatory tools, gamified interventions, and visual aids to engage the target stakeholders in the designed solution. Visual Composition and Infographics: Create compelling visuals, infographics, and videos for module creation, ensuring content is engaging and easy to understand.Module and Training Material Creation: Design educational modules, training decks, and communication aids for target group, facilitators and community members respectively, to support program delivery and stakeholder engagement. Ensure that all design research processes are adaptable and culturally sensitive to diverse rural and urban settings.Iteratively prototype and test tools on the field, and adapt them based on research findings and participant feedback to create the final suite of solutions for implementation. Create Project Communication Materials: Creatively package insights and learnings into visually rich innovation narratives for different stakeholders that clearly illustrate program narratives and strategies; aid the project manager and team in preparing client reports and other deliverables.Document Project Processes: Assist in documenting project processes and capturing pivotal design decisions and turning points.Maintain Communication Archives: Assist in maintaining a robust archive of all project communication materials, complete with introductory blurbs, out-briefs, project documentation, and imagery.Cross-Functional Support: Provide design expertise to support other organizational projects as needed, enhancing overall communication and engagement efforts.Required Skills & Experience4-6 years of experience in Visual Semantics and Visual Design, with a strong emphasis on information design, communication, and social design. Aptitude for visual storytelling and narrative construction, with prior experience or coursework in strategic communications or design research projects. Related work done for youth and adolescent programs is preferred.Strong skills in digital design tools and platforms like Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and Collaborative platforms like Figma, and Google Suite. Proven ability to create participatory tools and interactive content for community engagement and empowerment. Experience in rapid prototyping and iterative testing on the field with users, adapting designs based on participant feedback.Understanding of mental health issues, particularly among vulnerable youth.
