Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services. More information: the Job The Import Coordinator – US Shipments will be responsible for overseeing and managing import operations to the United States. This includes coordinating with overseas agents, customs brokers, trucking companies, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery, compliance, and accurate documentation handling.This role requires an individual with deep knowledge of import processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.This position is fully remote, working with international clients and internal teams across different time zones. Key Responsibilities• Coordinate import shipments (ocean and air) from origin to delivery at final destination in the U.S.• Review and process import documentation, including ISF filings, arrival notices, HBLs, and customs entries• Monitor and track inbound cargo to ensure timely release and delivery• Communicate with customs brokers, carriers, and drayage providers to facilitate cargo movement• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and partner government agencies (PGA)• Resolve exceptions, delays, or documentation issues proactively• Maintain accurate records of shipments, billing, and status updates in internal systems• Coordinate with trucking dispatch teams for last-mile delivery and container returns• Provide clients and internal teams with regular updates on shipment progress and key milestones Required Skills & Experience• Minimum 2 years of experience in import operations within the freight forwarding/logistics industry• Strong understanding of U.S. import procedures, documentation, and customs clearance processes• Familiarity with ISF, AMS, HTS codes, and other import regulatory requirements• Experience handling FCL and LCL shipments from Asia to the U.S.• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)• Experience with freight forwarding software, shipment tracking tools, and documentation systems Preferred• Knowledge of U.S. customs compliance programs (e.g., CTPAT)• Familiarity with bonded shipments, FDA/EPA clearance, and port procedures• Experience coordinating with U.S. truckers and terminal operations• Background in working with China, Vietnam, and India trade lanes• Experience with CRM and TMS platforms
