Key Responsibilities1. Operate and monitor distillation units, including crude distillation, vacuum distillation, and product stripping.2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.3. Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.4. Monitor process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to optimize production and minimize downtime.5. Respond to process upsets, alarms, and emergencies, taking corrective action as necessary.6. Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to ensure smooth plant operations.7. Maintain accurate records of plant operations, including logs, reports, and performance data.8. Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date with new technologies and procedures.9. Operate and maintain thermic fluid boiler systems, including:- Monitoring thermic fluid temperature, pressure, and flow rates.- Adjusting burner settings and fuel flow rates to optimize boiler performance.- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning heat exchangers and checking thermic fluid levels.- Responding to boiler alarms and emergencies, taking corrective action as necessary.Distillation Knowledge Requirements1. Understanding of distillation principles, including separation processes, reflux ratios, and tray efficiency.2. Familiarity with distillation equipment, such as columns, trays, and reboilers.3. Knowledge of crude oil properties and behavior in distillation processes.4. Understanding of product specifications and how to adjust distillation operating conditions to meet those specs.5. Familiarity with process control systems, including temperature, pressure, and flow control.Thermic Fluid Boiler Operations Knowledge Requirements1. Understanding of thermic fluid boiler principles, including heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and combustion.2. Familiarity with thermic fluid boiler equipment, such as heat exchangers, burners, and pumps.3. Knowledge of thermic fluid properties and behavior, including temperature, pressure, and flow rates.4. Understanding of boiler safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and emergency shutdowns.5. Familiarity with boiler maintenance procedures, including routine inspections and repairs.Requirements1. _Education_: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemical engineering, process technology) preferred.2. _Experience_: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a plant operator in a petroleum refinery or related industry, with specific experience in distillation and thermic fluid boiler operations.3. _Certifications_: Valid certifications in process operations, safety, and emergency response (e.g., OSHA, API, or equivalent).4. _Skills_:- Strong knowledge of refinery processes, equipment, and operations.- Proficiency in process control systems, including distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLC).- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.- Physical ability to work in a plant environment, including climbing stairs, walking, and standing for long periods.Working Conditions1.
