Job Description

We are building a modern D2C personal care brand, and we’re looking for an experienced and innovation-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our growth engine. This is a high-impact leadership role, focused on driving brand visibility, scaling customer acquisition, reducing CAC, and building an engaged digital community.The ideal candidate has extensive D2C experience, strong digital and performance marketing expertise, and a passion for technology-enabled growth. You’ll own the marketing roadmap, customer journey, and marketing tech stack—while championing bold and creative strategies to acquire and retain customers.Key ResponsibilitiesD2C Growth & StrategyDesign and execute the end-to-end D2C marketing strategy, focusing on acquisition, conversion, retention, and LTV growth.Identify and launch innovative campaigns and GTM strategies tailored for the D2C ecosystem.Develop and implement strategies to continuously reduce CAC while maximizing customer engagement and loyalty.Performance Marketing & AnalyticsLead performance campaigns across Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google Ads, YouTube, and programmatic platforms.Optimize campaigns through rigorous A/B testing, audience segmentation, and funnel analysis.Use tools like Google Analytics, GA4, Hotjar, CrazyEgg, and Facebook Pixel to track performance and customer behavior.Influencer & Community MarketingBuild, scale, and manage influencer marketing programs across micro, nano, and macro segments.Collaborate with creators to drive UGC, product seeding campaigns, and brand collaborations.Track ROI and performance of influencer initiatives with clear KPIs and attribution metrics.Social Media & Content StrategyDrive organic growth across social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).Leverage tools like Hootsuite, Later, or similar to automate and optimize publishing schedules.Ensure brand consistency across all platforms while staying on top of trends, reels, and community engagement.Customer Experience, CRM & RetentionLead customer lifecycle marketing including email, SMS, and retention programs using Klaviyo, MoEngage, etc.Personalize communication flows based on segmentation, behavior, and customer insights.Drive strategies to increase repeat purchases, referrals, and subscription models.Innovation & New Customer AcquisitionConstantly research new marketing trends, tools, and channels for acquiring new customers.Launch experimental initiatives such as quizzes, gamified experiences, referral campaigns, and viral loops.Identify untapped digital and offline touchpoints to reach target consumers innovatively.Technology & AutomationOwn the marketing tech stack: Shopify, Segment, Zapier, GA4, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, etc.Drive marketing automation across all funnel stages to improve efficiency and personalization at scale.Collaborate with tech and product teams to align growth goals with backend systems.QualificationsMinimum 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role in D2C or e-commerce (D2C experience is mandatory).Proven track record in scaling customer acquisition, reducing CAC, and increasing LTV for a consumer brand.Strong experience in performance marketing, influencer marketing, brand strategy, and automation tools.Proficient in Instagram, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Google Analytics (GA4 knowledge is a plus).Deep understanding of Shopify ecosystem, marketing stacks, customer behavior, and analytics tools.Creative thinker with strong business acumen, leadership skills, and execution excellence.What We OfferESOP Allocation – Be a real stakeholder in our journey.Performance Bonus – Linked to revenue growth, CAC reduction, automation implementation, and key growth KPIs.Opportunity to Lead Tech + Growth – Own and shape the marketing-tech roadmap of a high-growth D2C brand.Strategic Freedom & Creative Ownership – Build a brand from scratch with full autonomy.Hybrid Work Setup – Based in Hyderabad with flexibility for remote collaboration.
