This role leads the operationalization of data governance standards and policies, ensuring consistent implementation across markets and global functions. You will oversee a high-performing team of business support analysts who serve as the frontline for data quality support, issue resolution, and the enablement of data-driven initiatives within the enterprise data ecosystem.This position requires a hands-on leader with proven experience in running operational support teams, enabling the execution of strategic plans, and fostering a feedback-driven environment for continuous improvement.Who we’re looking for:Primary Responsibilities:Business Enablement & Execution Oversight:Serve as the delivery lead for global data governance operations, ensuring the adoption and consistent application of enterprise policies, standards, and frameworksOversee day-to-day governance activities across markets, collaborating with regional and functional teams to resolve data issues and enhance data productsDesign and manage operational playbooks that bring data governance strategies and business processes to lifeEstablish precise execution mechanisms that translate curated governance strategies into sustainable operational processesOperational Support & Issue Management:Lead the Data Quality Support function across global programs to ensure high-quality, fit-for-purpose dataSupervise the intake, triage, and resolution of data-related issues from both global functions and local marketsCoordinate cross-functional teams to support enhancements or changes to global data products based on business needs and quality insightsTeam Leadership & Market Support:Lead a global team of Business Support Analysts who liaise with market and functional stakeholdersProvide coaching, prioritization, and direction to ensure timely, scalable, and practical support for data governance-related activitiesChampion the development of market governance capabilities through hands-on support, knowledge sharing, and training initiativesContinuous Improvement & Feedback Loops:Collaborate closely with the Director of Data Governance Strategy to provide lessons learned, process feedback, and improvement opportunitiesPartner with the global DG strategy and tools teams to iterate and optimize governance tools, metrics, and workflowsFoster a culture of continuous feedback, ensuring that operational insights inform strategic refinements and roadmapsSkills & Experience Required:Bachelor's or Master's in Data Management, Information Systems, Business, or related field; certifications like CDMP or CIMP are a plus10+ years of experience in data governance, operational execution, or enterprise data programsDemonstrated success leading operational or shared services teams in large, matrixed organizationsStrong understanding of data quality management, issue triage workflows, and stakeholder enablementExceptional ability to translate data strategies into operational plans and scalable practicesComfortable working across cultures and time zones in a global environmentPreferred Experience:Familiarity with governance platforms, MDM Systems (e.g., Collibra, Informatica), and issue management systemsBackground in retail, QSR, or global franchise businessesExperience managing both onshore and offshore teamsWork location: Hyderabad, IndiaWork pattern: Full time role.Work mode: Hybrid.
