This role combines the responsibilities of back-end development and DevOps operations, focusing on building, testing, deploying, and optimizing our core services. You will design scalable systems, manage our CI/CD pipelines, and ensure our infrastructure remains secure and efficient—all while actively contributing to the development of our back-end APIs.Key ResponsibilitiesBack-End Development:Develop and maintain our Node.js and Express-based APIs, ensuring clean, efficient, and scalable code.Integrate automated testing using Jest and Supertest to maintain high code quality and performance.CI/CD Pipeline Management:Design, build, and manage continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.Automate build, test, and deployment processes to streamline the release cycle.Infrastructure & Deployment:Implement containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes to ensure scalable and reliable deployments.Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, deploying on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Monitoring & Logging:Set up monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack) to track application performance and proactively address issues.Develop automated alerting systems to ensure quick response times and system reliability.Collaboration & Process Improvement:Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and designers to ensure that our operational practices align with development needs and user experience goals.Continually assess and refine development and deployment processes to optimize system performance and reliability.RequirementsTechnical Expertise:Strong experience in back-end development with Node.js and Express.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins, as well as containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Proficiency in automated testing frameworks such as Jest and Supertest.DevOps & Operational Skills:Expertise in setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.Knowledge of security best practices in cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines.Full Stack Awareness:While your primary focus will be back-end development and DevOps, a basic understanding of front-end technologies and integration practices is essential for ensuring end-to-end system quality.Ability to troubleshoot issues spanning the full technology stack, ensuring seamless collaboration between front-end and back-end components.Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on scalable and secure system design.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.Proactive, innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.What We OfferThe opportunity to drive innovation in the travel-tech SaaS industry with a leading-edge technology stack.Remote work flexibility within a collaborative and supportive startup culture.Long-term career growth and professional development in a dynamic and agile environment.
