Ltd.)Office location: Skyline Icon, Unit No.401, Marol Naka, Andheri (East), Mumbai, 400059, MaharashtraReports To: Deputy General Manager, Fleet Performance Team Lead  Job SummaryThe Analyst, Fleet Performance will report to the Deputy General Manager of Fleet Performance and is tasked with developing and managing the Fleet Performance Monitoring function at OneSea Solutions Pte. Ltd (OSS). This role leverages advanced engineering and maritime expertise to analyze and convey valuable fleet performance data to Fleet Management, owners Commercial teams, and our charterers/customers. The primary objective is to establish sustainable processes for monitoring, evaluating, and improving vessel and fleet performance, with a focus on fuel efficiency and regulatory emissions compliance for managed vessels.Job Responsibilities- Data Monitoring: Review daily noon reports from vessels and ensure accurate reporting systems are maintained in collaboration with ship crews.- Error Analysis: Track and analyze reporting errors, maintaining records of errors addressed weekly and monthly.- Performance Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance fleet performance and reduce operational costs.- Vessel Analysis: Regularly assess vessel performance (both at sea and in port) against charter party terms and established baselines.- Operational Efficiency: Monitor and evaluate vessel operations, including maintenance and underwater activities.- Fuel Performance Evaluation: Analyze fuel performance data to identify trends and conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies in fuel consumption.- Reporting: Prepare monthly performance analysis reports using data analysis tools to inform operational improvements.- Management Engagement: Participate in management review workshops and senior officer forums to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for data quality improvement.- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure vessels comply with IMO and MARPOL energy efficiency regulations, specifically the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP), while leading the continuous development of the SEEMP document.- Data Verification: Verify and maintain ship-reported data for regulatory compliance, submit data to verifiers, and oversee emissions data quality.- Claims Support: Assist with detailed analyses for potential vessel performance claims and address ad hoc data inquiries from charterers.- Training Coordination: Ensure training on the Navis Bluetracker platform is available for onboard and onshore crews.- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with charterer/owner’s fleet performance teams to address inquiries and performance issues promptly.- Task Management: Assign tasks and prioritize workloads for team members based on company priorities.- Internship Program: Oversee the internship program, including interviewing and managing interns in the team.- Change Management: Lead initiatives related to process improvements and new technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.- Roadmap Development: Create and update the fleet performance development roadmap.- Contract Support: Ensure Time Charter Description (TCD) documents are current to facilitate charterparty extensions and new agreements.- Performance Tools Management: Develop and enhance vessel performance tools to meet increasing collaboration demands from OSS customers.- Timely Reporting: Ensure regular and timely fleet performance reporting, providing recommendations to Fleet Management based on advanced marine knowledge.- Process Automation: Strive to automate manual data processes and promote continuous improvement within the team.- Performs other duties as required.Requirements- Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture.- A minimum of 2 years sailing experience and at least 1 year of shore experience for Marine Engineers, or 3 years of experience in performance and environmental functions for Naval Architects.- Master’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or Marine Engineering preferred.- Strong knowledge of complex machinery systems, ship energy efficiency, and performance optimization.- Expertise in energy efficiency improvements for ocean-going vessels.- Familiarity with international maritime regulations and industry best practices.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Ambitious to grow the Fleet Performance function and passionate about energy efficiency.- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.- Proven experience with change management and process improvement.- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.- Critical thinking skills and proficiency in analytical tools.- Strong understanding of national and international regulations regarding maritime GHG emissions.- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentJob Demands and Physical Requirements- Willingness to engage in public speaking and present findings confidently to colleagues and industry peers.- Ability to travel as needed.- Must have a company phone and a home internet connection for necessary after-hours work across different time zones.
