Adept at managing end-to-end financial operations, and delivering results through a combination of technical proficiency and strong operational acumen. Proven expertise in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), reconciliation, and accounting systems. Skilled in using advanced financial tools such as QuickBooks, along with Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Key Responsibilities:A) Roles & Responsibilities:• Financial Management & Analysis:o Handle end-to-end accounting functions, including financial reporting, reconciliation.o Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, and cash flow statements.o Analyze current and past financial data to assess performance trends and make recommendations for profit enhancement.o Conduct budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting, providing data-driven insights to aid strategic decision-making.o Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and key performance indicators (KPIs) affecting profitability.• Data Management & Reporting:o Manage large datasets using advanced Excel functions such as IF, SUM, INDEX, MATCH, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables for financial modeling and analysis.o Automate, simplify, and enhance reporting trackers using VBA, Macros, SQL, and other automation tools to ensure data accuracy and reduce manual efforts.o Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc MIS (Management Information System) reports for senior management, showcasing key financial metrics and operational performance.o Extract and format data into presentable reports, charts, and graphs for internal and external stakeholders.o Work on custom reports, including collecting data from multiple sources and ensuring that the client’s requirements are fully met.• Client & Stakeholder Communication:o Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to provide financial insights, answer queries, and address any discrepancies related to financial data.o Vendor management; Ensure timely payment from vendors under AR, and maintain clear and good communication.o Present financial insights, communicate business challenges, and suggest actionable recommendations to management based on routine and ad-hoc analyses. • Compliance & Regulatory:o Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, ensuring timely filings and payments.o Ensure all financial processes are carried out in accordance with company policies and U.S. regulations, including tax compliance, revenue recognition, and statutory reporting.o Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance.• Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:o Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency in financial reporting, tax compliance, and data management.o Lead initiatives to streamline financial systems and procedures, including process automation for greater operational efficiency.o Continuously monitor and optimize accounting software usage, such as QuickBooks or other ERP systems, ensuring smooth financial operations.• Taxation & Federal Regulation:o Ensure adherence to all tax filing deadlines and stay up-to-date with changes in federal regulations impacting financial reporting and tax filings.o Assist in preparing tax returns and handling tax-related queries from authorities.• Cross-Functional Collaboration:o Collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing teams to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.o Support cross-functional teams with financial insights related to client profitability, pricing strategies, and cost control.B) Mandatory skills/traits –• MS Excel – Expert level proficiency• US working experience• SQL, Power BI, File maker pro -Intermediate level proficiency• Communication Skills with US English – Expert level proficiency• Outlook (emails) - Expert level proficiencyC) Soft Skills –• Team player• Pleasant demeanor• Can do attitude• Multitasker• HumbleD) Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, and reporting, in a U.S.-based accounting or finance role.• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, data automation tools (VBA, Macros, SQL), and accounting software such as QuickBooks or other ERPs.• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to work with large datasets.• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
