EcoMetric seeks a Market Research Analyst to join its Energy Efficiency Evaluation team. Research Analysts are expected to conduct primary and secondary research on behalf of EcoMetric’s energy clients (primarily utilities and administrators of energy efficiency programs). Research Analysts will be responsible for executing market research and analysis and creating written reports on the findings. Research Analysts conduct thoughtful research and analysis using both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The ideal candidate is a problem solver and analytical leader comfortable engaging internal and external client to ask the right questions to ensure the right solution is provided They should also be highly motivated to perform and learn, be able to work collaboratively and independently, conduct assigned tasks and projects from start to finish, and have exceptional written, verbal, and analytical skills. Responsibilities Participate in survey design and research efforts to support EcoMetric’s evaluation and market research projects. Work independently and participate in research efforts, ensuring consistency and quality of research.Recruit and administer in-depth interviews with various energy-related market actors.Analyze collected survey data using Excel or other analytical software to identify trends, summarize research findings and reach meaningful conclusions and recommendations for client consideration.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide technical input on projects.Assist with project management activities, project coordination, and budget tracking.Support technical assistance requests and providing customer service to EcoMetric clients and other stakeholders.Develop clear, concise reports, and present results, and findings, and actionable recommendations to clients.Qualifications Undergraduate degree in business, the social sciences, environmental studies, economics, or a related field and 2 to 5 years of work experience.Proficiency with MS Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.Experience conducting social science research and primary data collection.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Experience writing high quality reports and delivering oral presentations, excellent verbal and written communication skills.Work independently to manage tasks and contribute to team efforts.Ability to provide timely communication, adapt to changes, and deliver time-sensitive products.Initiative and ability to work collaboratively as a team member and self-direct on numerous and varied assignments; proactive in reaching out for assistance or clarification.Some travel within US and Canada will be requiredPreferredKnowledge of energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologiesAnalytical skills using statistical and analytical software (e.g., Python, SAS, R, Excel)
