Job Description The Business Development Consultant will be responsible to achieve desired key objectives and customer partnerships through well planned BD activities at a national level. The role requires a high level of experience in direct engagement with senior C-suite level hospital executives & clinicians. This individual will need advanced consultative selling skills and experience, building consensus among economic and clinical decision makers. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, action-orientation, and self-motivation are essential traits for this position. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate new business development leveraging focused efforts from Marketing, Regional Sales team, CARIn teams & KAM teams. This requires a number of talents, including the ability to build a coalition of supporters within each hospital, strong client engagement and problem-solving skills and being full of energy to keep going through long and complex sales cycles, topped with a natural eagerness and drive to bring opportunities to closure.Main Accountabilities Responsible for identifying and nurturing new business opportunities within assigned accounts.The consultant will clearly identify hospital administration and surgeon practice needs by listening, probing, and developing appropriate solutions. The consultant provides comprehensive performance improvement solutions to unmet needs of accounts. The solutions provided are delivered through multiple strategic service offerings, which include clinical, operational improvement, technology and digital transformation, program reviews, strategy development and planning, workflows and organizational design, major project/program services, and the design and transformation of systems and care delivery models. Working with colleagues, the consultant will structure and develop presentations, pitches, proposals, business cases, and contracts and work in team with field sales force on jointly developing business opportunities.Collaborating with internal teams, such as CARIn and Practice development consulting, to ensure alignment between Research and Value based Practice enhancement strategies.Build a strong network working closely with key Account Managers towards facilitation of monitoring and analyzing sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for future strategies.Responsible to manage various aspects that support Business Development (Partnerships / Strategic Alliance) activities for the company with Key Accounts. Coordinate and facilitate roll out key initiatives from GKAM (Global Key Account Management) teams.Job Specifications EducationEducation - Any graduation (B. Sc./B Tech – Preferred) – MBA – Marketing / Sales Experience & Skills At least 8 -10 years of work experience in the field of Ophthalmology / 5+ years of experience in the Hi-tech Medical Equipment Industry and managing Hospital Ecosystems; Management of Key Stakeholders of Premier Institutes.Proven influencing skills in a matrix organization, through a collaborative style with the establishment of credibility and strong working relationships with cross-functional teamsExcellent analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with a data-driven mindsetHave a strong business acumen and financial understanding.Positive attitude and passion that energizes customers and colleagues alikeStrong English proficiency, fluency in additional languages a plusPossess the ability to express ideas in a straightforward and a clear manner ZEISS in IndiaZEISS in India is headquartered in Bengaluru and present in the fields of Industrial Quality Solutions, Research Microscopy Solutions, Medical Technology, Vision Care and Sports &Cine Optics.
