With deep industry expertise, Vertical Relevance delivers custom solutions that enable digital transformation, leveraging best practices, tools, and methodologies to ensure client successJob Overview:We are seeking an Application Modernization Engineer with expertise in Python programming, AWS, Lambda, AWS EKS, React, AWS Serverless Architecture, Python Application Development, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to modernize existing applications, develop scalable serverless solutions, and implement best practices for cloud-native application development.Key Responsibilities:Lead application modernization initiatives by migrating and refactoring existing applications to cloud-native architectures.Design, develop, and deploy serverless and containerized applications using AWS Lambda, AWS EKS, and other AWS services.Build and maintain scalable, high-performance Python applications for cloud environments.Develop front-end components using React, integrating with back-end microservices.Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to ensure best practices in code quality, scalability, and security.Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.Monitor and troubleshoot cloud applications, optimizing performance and cost efficiency.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing and application modernization.Required Skills and Qualifications:5+ years of experience in Python application development.Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, including AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and EKS.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AWS EKS preferred).Proficiency in React for front-end development.Hands-on experience with serverless architectures and microservices development.Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.Familiarity with observability tools (AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Qualifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification.Experience with AI/ML services on AWS.Knowledge of API security, OAuth, and IAM policies.
