The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing bothpre-sales and inside sales teams, with a strong focus on bid management, client engagement, andensuring smooth presales processes in both the government and non-government sectors. Thisrole requires leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of sales operations,particularly in the equipment industry.Key Responsibilities:● Leadership & Team Management:o Lead, mentor, and manage the Pre-Sales teams, fostering a collaborative andhigh-performance environment.o Drive team performance, setting clear targets and goals, and ensuring consistentachievement of sales objectives.o Provide guidance and support in developing team members’ skills and career growth.o Conduct regular performance reviews and feedback sessions for the team.● Pre-Sales Strategy & Execution:o Develop and implement pre-sales strategies that align with the company’s goals anddrive the growth of the equipment business.o Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to create compellingproposals, presentations, and technical solutions tailored to customer needs.o Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality, customized productdemonstrations and presentations.o Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to answer technical queries from clients andassist the sales team with solution positioning.● Bid Management:o Lead and manage the end-to-end bid management process, from identifyingopportunities to final submission and closing.o Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., technical, finance, legal) to ensure thetimely and accurate preparation of bid documents and proposals.o Ensure compliance with government and non-government tender requirements,including adhering to timelines and specifications.o Establish best practices for bid management, including maintaining a centralizedrepository of proposal templates and past submissions.● Inside Sales Management:o Oversee inside sales activities to drive revenue growth, including lead generation,qualification, and nurturing of prospects.o Implement strategies to improve sales conversion rates and pipeline management,focusing on high-value opportunities.o Ensure the inside sales team effectively follows up on leads and ensures high levels ofcustomer satisfaction.o Expected to generate sale leads OR to guide and supervise the team and makestrategy to generate leads● Government & Non-Government Pre-Sales:o Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in both governmentand non-government sectors to understand their needs and provide tailoredsolutions as per the needo Monitor industry trends, policies, and regulations, particularly in the governmentsector, to stay ahead of the competition.o Lead and support the pre-sales team in responding to government RFPs, RFQs, andother tender opportunities.● Sales Reporting & Analytics:o Track and report on key sales metrics, including revenue, lead conversion, and teamperformance.o Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior management, providing insightsand recommendations for improving sales processes.o Utilize CRM tools and other sales technologies to manage and track sales activities,ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.● Cross-Functional Collaboration:o Work closely with product management, technical, and operations teams to ensurethe smooth execution of sales and pre-sales activities.o Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and messagingthat resonate with target audiences in both the government and non-governmentsectors.Skills & Qualifications:● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).● Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in pre-sales, inside sales, or sales operationswithin the equipment or related industries, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.● Strong Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and motivating high-performingteams to achieve sales targets.● Bid Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of bid management processes, particularlyin government and non-government sales.● Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of sales strategies, pipeline management, and theability to drive revenue growth.● Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability tointeract with stakeholders at all levels.● Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.● Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the technical aspects of the equipment business,including product features, benefits, and applications.● Industry Knowledge: Experience in both government and non-government sectors, with asolid understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.● CRM Proficiency: Strong experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) tomanage sales activities and pipeline.● Problem Solving: Ability to address challenges proactively and find creative solutions.Compensation & Benefits
