Job Description

We are looking for a senior executive responsible for overseeing the commercial strategy and revenue generation for Advertalyst. As our CRO, you will align sales, marketing, product development, and customer success efforts to drive business growth and profitability. The role is part of the leadership team. You will be critical in ensuring the company is competitive in the market, that our offerings are well-positioned, and that revenue goals are met.Key Responsibilities1. Commercial Strategy Development & Execution:  - Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that integrates sales, marketing, and customer success to maximize growth and market penetration.  - Ensure that the company's commercial goals align with its overall business objectives, focusing on revenue generation, brand visibility, and customer satisfaction.2. Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:  - Lead efforts to identify new revenue opportunities, including expanding into new markets or verticals (e.g., Real Estate, OTT, Education).  - Oversee sales teams and ensure the business aggressively pursues leads and closes high-value deals.   - Track and report on KPIs such as sales revenue, customer acquisition costs, and customer lifetime value.3. Relationship Building & Influence:  - Build and maintain high-level relationships with CMOs and other senior executives within target industries, helping to open doors to key prospects.  - Use personal influence and industry reputation to secure new clients, partnerships, and strategic collaborations.  - Serve as a primary point of contact for large, strategic clients, ensuring they feel valued and that the business is positioned as a key partner in their advertising and marketing efforts.4. Sales Leadership & Team Collaboration:  - Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools, strategies, and support to drive sales success.  - Collaborate with marketing teams to align product offerings with customer needs and market trends, optimizing go-to-market strategies.  - Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the company, including marketing, product, and customer success teams, to ensure commercial strategies are aligned across all functions.5. Customer-Centric Approach:  - Work closely with customer success teams to ensure clients receive exceptional service and that customer feedback is integrated into the company's strategic direction.  - Help drive client retention and satisfaction by offering tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of each client. 6. P&L Responsibility:  - Oversee the financial performance of the commercial side of the business, ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are met or exceeded.  - Work with the team to ensure appropriate pricing strategies are in place and the company is maximizing its profitability.Qualifications:- Leadership Experience: 12-16 years of experience, currently in senior leadership roles, with significant experience in sales, marketing, and/or business development in the Brand/Advertising Industry.- Experience: You would have a background in ad tech or digital marketing, or brand management in general, with a deep understanding of the challenges brands face in areas like advertising spend optimization, campaign performance, and digital transformation.- Industry Influence: A well-known figure in the advertising industry who has strong, established relationships with senior executives (especially CMOs) in Real Estate, Automobile, Electronics, Consumer Apps, Mobile, OTT, Educational Institutions & Movie Production houses.- Strategic Vision: Ability to develop long-term strategies that drive revenue growth while also staying agile enough to capitalize on short-term opportunities.-Results-oriented: Proven track record in driving sales growth, market expansion, and revenue generation in competitive markets.- Innovative Mindset: Comfort with and passion for emerging technologies, particularly in AI, data analytics, and automation, which are crucial in the ad tech space.Key Characteristics We are Looking for:1. Revenue Accounts: Should have handled upwards of 15Cr in Annual spending in accounts for Brands in Digital & OOH Spends.4.
