About the Role:We are seeking a proactive and experienced Design Safety Consultant based in India to support the integration of health and safety principles during the design stages of high-profile construction and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of experience and strong understanding of design risk management and a solid grounding in legislations & Best Practices. As a key member of our growing team, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and client representatives to ensure that safety is embedded from the concept phase through to construction.Join us at ASafe Global and be part of a mission that goes beyond compliance—creating a safer, smarter future for all.Key Responsibilities:Advise clients and design teams on design risk management in compliance with legislation & Best Practices.Facilitate and document design risk assessments and safety workshops (e.g., HAZID, design coordination meetings).Prepare and review statutory documentation including Preliminary Safety and Health Plans (PSHP) and Design Safety Reports.Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify, eliminate, or reduce risks during the design stage.Support compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.Liaise with Designer, Main Contractor, and other duty holders throughout project lifecycles.Deliver design safety training and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.Stay updated on evolving legislations, standards, and industry best practices in design safety.Key Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a design safety, Designer, or construction H&S advisory role.Degree-qualified in engineering, architecture, construction, or a relevant health and safety discipline.In-depth understanding of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.Familiarity with the role and responsibilities of the Designer.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong documentation, reporting, and organisational capabilities.Relevant professional membership or certification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, CIF, or similar) preferred.Experience in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, data centres, infrastructure, or commercial construction is required.Why ASafe Global:At ASafe Global, we are pioneers in advancing workplace safety and environmental excellence across industries.
