My client is a leading product engineering company headquartered in Canada, specializing in software and product development through digital transformation. They are currently looking to hire a Pre-Sales Consultant with the following responsibilities and skill set.Key Responsibilities : Lead discovery conversations with qualified prospects to identify business challenges, goals, timelines, and hidden risks.Assess technical and delivery risks early, and provide clear problem statements to enable effective internal solutioning.Collaborate with product, engineering, and strategy teams to create solution blueprints, feature roadmaps, and implementation plans aligned with client objectives.Take end-to-end ownership of proposal development, ensuring clarity, coherence, and alignment with the value proposition.Prepare and maintain high-quality pre-sales artifacts, including discovery summaries, solution briefs, estimation decks, and final proposals.Manage the complete bid cycle (RFI, RFQ, RFP), ensuring timely submission and seamless coordination across internal teams.Drive pre-sales operations by maintaining proposal readiness, identifying gaps, and pushing for internal accountability.Work with technical teams to develop accurate effort estimates and validate the feasibility of proposed solutions.Balance speed and accuracy in solution sizing using agile estimation best practices.Handle all client-facing communication during the pre-sales phase - calls, emails, proposal reviews, and walkthroughs.Maintain a consultative approach, guiding clients to the right solutions rather than just pitching capabilities.Represent values, expertise, and commitment to delivering outcomes in every client interaction.Desired Profile :3–5 years in a pre-sales, bid management, or solution consulting role within a tech consulting or digital product environment.Proven expertise in proposal development, RFI, RFQ, and RFP responses handling, and bid lifecycle management.Strong track record of translating business problems into solution narratives and feature roadmaps.Hands-on experience conducting risk assessments and effort estimations for complex digital solutions.Ability to own and drive the success of proposals by aligning business needs with technical possibilities.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas.Strong understanding of digital product lifecycle, agile methodologies, and modern tech stacks.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Tech, Design, Strategy) to co-create proposals.Exposure to solutioning in industries like FinTech, HealthTech, EdTech, or Retail.Understanding of pricing models and effort estimation techniques for agile projects.High ownership mindset in taking initiative, driving results, and pushing for clarity in ambiguity.
