Job Summary:We seek a skilled and proactive Instrumentation Engineer to oversee, maintain, calibrate, and optimize our dairy processing plant's instrumentation, automation, and control systems. The candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of instruments used in milk processing, pasteurization, homogenization, fermentation, packaging lines, CIP systems, and cold storage facilities.Key Responsibilities:Installation, calibration, and maintenance of dairy process instrumentation (flow meters, level transmitters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, control valves, and load cells).Troubleshoot PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and control panels associated with dairy processing and packaging equipment.Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance schedules are executed for all instruments and controls.Monitor the performance of automation systems to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.Maintain records for calibration certificates and ensure compliance with food safety and quality management systems (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP).Liaise with suppliers for spare parts, new instrumentation procurement, and upgrades.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process accuracy and product quality.Support the commissioning of new equipment and provide training to operations teams on instrumentation and controls.Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and quality standards in all maintenance activities.Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation and control systems used in dairy or food processing plants.Expertise in working with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar), SCADA systems, and automation troubleshooting.Ability to read P&IDs, electrical drawings, and instrumentation diagrams.Understanding of CIP/SIP systems instrumentation and cold chain automation.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in the dairy industry.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or related field.2–4 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and automation in the dairy or food processing industry.
