This person should possess a deep love for all things software and technology, and bring a unique combination of technical prowess and analytical rigor to the table.The MissionTo craft software solutions of rare elegance, with a focus on adding capabilities to business critical machine learning pipeline.To partner with our business leaders in order to shape the company's priorities, and to deliver custom solutions that meet their needs.To analyze complex problems, both technical and business-related, and to find novel solutions.To act with independence and initiative, making sound decisions with confidence.The Skills and QualificationsA passion for technology and software development.Experience in developing ultra-low-latency software solutions that are both robust and secure.We predominantly seek candidates with Rust proficiency, but those with extensive experience in C++, Haskell or C and rudimentary Rust knowledge are also eligible.A good understanding of low-level system primitives, including locks, threading models, and networking concepts.Experience with applied machine learning techniques and data processing pipelines is a bonus.The ability to solve open-ended problems with creative analytical methods.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a fast-paced environment.A minimum of a Master's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field (Ph.D. preferred).The CompensationA starting salary of $40,000 to $65,000 per year, based on experience. The most talented engineers will find their compensation growing quickly, as merit is rewarded.
