Manager – New Product Development (NPD) for a FMCG Co at CoimbatoreLocation;Coimbatore, Tamil NaduDepartment:Research & Development / Product InnovationReporting to Head – Product Development / Head – R&D / Business HeadPosition Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – New Product Development (NPD) to lead and execute the development of new products in the Food & Beverage (F&B) segment. The role also includes active involvement in the design and development of packaging materials that align with product specifications, market trends, and sustainability goals.Key Responsibilities:• Identify, conceptualize, and develop new products in the food and beverages category, aligned with market trends and business objectives.• Work closely with the marketing, production, quality, procurement, and regulatory teams to ensure smooth product launches.• Design, test, and develop innovative, functional, and cost-effective packaging solutions for new products.• Conduct feasibility studies, shelf-life studies, sensory evaluations, and consumer trials.• Collaborate with suppliers, packaging partners, and vendors for sourcing and prototyping.• Ensure compliance with FSSAI and other applicable food safety and quality standards.• Document and maintain detailed product development records, test results, and process specifications.• Evaluate existing products for improvements or re-engineering based on consumer feedback or cost optimization.• Manage timelines and resources to meet product launch deadlines.Key Skills & Competencies:• Strong knowledge of food product formulation, processing technologies, and packaging materials.• Hands-on experience in NPD lifecycle – from ideation to commercialization.• Analytical and problem-solving skills.• Project management and multi-functional team coordination.• Sound understanding of regulatory compliance and lab testing protocols.• Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and basic knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).Educational Qualifications:• B.Tech/M.Tech in Food Technology / Food Science / Food Engineering or equivalent.• Additional certifications in Packaging Technology or Innovation Management will be an advantage.Experience Required:• 6–10 years of experience in New Product Development in the Food & Beverage industry.• Experience in packaging development will be a strong plus.Work Environment:• Based in Coimbatore, with periodic travel to manufacturing units, packaging vendors, and market visits.CTC: Maximum gross up to 15 LPAIf your experience suits our JD,Pl share your updated resume to jobs@
