Manager/ Assistant Manager – DecarbonizationLocation : PuneDirectly Reports to Global Head.Position SummarySupport in initiation and managing sustainability, decarbonization & carbon related strategic activities for TÜV SÜD group.Responsible for the coordination, analysis and derivation of action plans and presentations (including data analysis – external and internal), in relation to strategic initiatives and projects handled by Corporate Sustainability Office (CSO).Responsibility and AuthorityResponsible for gathering, coordinating and steering of key strategies and projects in line with Corporate Sustainability Office goals and target for the entire TÜV SÜD group. Support monthly strategy and project review calls by preparing key data reports & help in reviewing and follow up of actions points as agreed in meetings within CSO and with extended group of people.Support in working of lighthouse and strategic projects, reporting and costing (review and setting of rationale, process, support in handling experts from regions, divisions and corporate office).Support in preparation of presentation for various management meetings by analysis, streamlining and accumulating suitable data and information from all the functions across the organization. Support in development of global decarbonization/climate action service portfolio for global launch which includes preparation of marketing asset, handling selected key customers mainly from hard to abate sector.Work closely with experts and managers from various divisions and regions as well as client-facing teams to develop short to long term strategy to increase market presence new service launch. Support in global partnership around Climate finance, carbon capture storage and utilization (CCUS).Education and Experience / The Skills RequiredMaster’s degree in environmental science/engineering, natural science, business management or related field. An additional degree in business administration and master’s degrees will be considered a plus.5 years of working experience with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in working in sustainability area. At least 2 years working experience in consulting, strategy/sustainability consulting will be considered a plus.Ideally, experience in working in climate action certification, CCUS, climate finance and related areas. Knowledge of climate change and new energy related regulation and market across globe. Proven ability to make presentations and high-level strategic papers. Strong analytical skills, ability to draft project report and presentation.Experience in working with multi-disciplined diverse teams in a project environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
