Partnerships, Communications and Marketing Lead Contract: Full time, 1-year Fixed Term Salary of up to USD60,000 per annum Remote working opportunity but must be based in New Delhi or Haryana (Gurgaon/ Gurugram), India About Generation Global Generation Global is the International Baccalaureate’s (IB) global citizenship education programme. It enables young people, aged 13-17, to embrace the future, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to become active and internationally minded learners. Generation Global was established in 2009 and has worked in over 50 countries in Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA), Europe and the Americas, teaching dialogue skills to teachers and students, and facilitating meaningful global encounters between young people. The programme has trained over 15,000 teachers and reached over 620,000 students globally. Our resources are recognised as good practice by organisations including UNESCO, the Brookings Institution and Club De Madrid, and have been used in the programme’s partnership with governments across the world, including Italy, Jordan, Australia’s Northern Territory, and several states in India. About The Job Working closely with the Director of Generation Global, the Partnerships, Communications and Marketing Lead will play a pivotal role in identifying and expertly stewarding strategic partnerships that will scale the reach and impact of the programme. This position will also work closely with IB colleagues to align Generation Global’s offer with the IB’s mission and strategy. Strategic partnerships Working with the Director of Generation Global, identify, cultivate and manage new global strategic partnerships to expand the reach and impact of the programme. Lead the programmes partnerships with governments, school networks, schools and not for profit organisations, spanning 50 countries and over 20 partnerships. Produce and successfully deliver a targeted outreach strategy for engagement with not for profit, private sector and government sector partners, tailoring GG’s offer with partner needs. Be responsible for producing compelling and tailored presentation decks for potential partners, identifying the added value and alignment with their curriculum and mission. Work closely with partners to manage and troubleshoot issues in using the GG products and services and be agile and proactive in finding solutions. Engage regularly with IB colleagues, exploring ways in which the GG offer may be part of the value proposition to governments. Produce and maintain a database of information relating to partners, as are relevant to the development and effective stewardship of these partnerships. Lead the Partnerships team and contribute to achieving the partnership, student and teacher targets, whilst collaborating with colleagues to achieve other GG targets. Marketing and Communications Be responsible for overseeing the Communications and Marketing Manager, and ensuring the production and delivery of the annual communications and marketing plan, with supporting campaigns and stakeholder events to engage young people, educators, schools and partners. Oversee the management and coordination of all external and internal communications including e-newsletter, student emails, blog posts, announcements/ updates, videos/Vlogs, others. Ensure a consistently high quality of communications and marketing content (internal and external), that is relevant to our audiences and delivered in a timely manner. Set and monitor meaningful metrics to measure the impact of marketing and communs efforts. Work with programme leads / colleagues to facilitate effective delivery of the communications strategy and key messages. Work closely with the IB Communications and Marketing Teams, to ensure alignment with organisational branding and messaging and for coordination on internal and external comms. Leadership and Operations Position Generation Global as a trusted programme with governments, schools and within the education sector more broadly. Represent GG at external meetings and events, proactively networking and seeking out opportunities to develop new educational partnerships and opportunities for the programme. Collaborate closely with the GG leadership team on strategy, planning and delivery, seeking ways to enhance, iterate, increase impact and reach for the programme. Be accountable for managing user and beneficiary data, in alignment with IB policies and GG procedures, ensuring correct permissions are in place and data is cleansed as appropriate. Manage contractor/ external agency/ team members relating to the position. Ensure funds are applied according to IB financial management and control policies, and within approved budgets to deliver on agreed priorities within agreed timeframes. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, programme systems and processes, including those related to safeguarding, security and legal matters. Contribute to the alignment of GG with the IB Mission and Youth Strategy, providing information where needed. Undertake any other responsibilities that further contribute to the Generation Global’s business plans, as required. About You Over 10 years proven experience of successfully identifying, cultivating and managing global strategic partnerships with not for profit, public, private sector and education organisations. Knowledge, understanding and experience of the education sector at a national, regional or global level. Evidence of overseeing the production of impactful and compelling marketing and communication material to a range of external audiences e.g. leaflets, pitch decks, videos. An ability to work independently, think strategically and produce and implement business plans, with attention to detail, analysis and according to targets and timeframes. Outstanding interpersonal and presentational skills; able to quickly establish Generation Global’s credibility with strategic partners. A proven ability to inspire, coach and develop others, including people from different backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrable expertise in programme management, people management and business development at a global level and within the international not for profit sector. A proactive, self motivated individual with a passion for achieving social impact. Fluency in English is essential and another language, is desirable. An ability to travel locally and internationally to achieve the programme’s purpose and plans. Applications are being received until 24 April 2025.
