We are looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Software Developer with expertise in AI-powered coding platforms to join our fast-growing team.Position OverviewAs the Lead Software Developer, you will play a key role in driving the technical strategy, architecture, and development of Dumroo.ai's AI-powered educational tools. You will lead a team of developers, collaborate closely with product and design teams, and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development and deployment of Dumroo.ai’s core AI-based features and platform infrastructure.Architect scalable backend and frontend systems using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.Guide the team in building AI-powered tools such as intelligent lesson planners, adaptive learning engines, automated assessments, and personalized recommendations.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and lead by example in code quality and best practices.Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers on the team.Oversee integration of third-party APIs, machine learning models, and NLP tools.Collaborate with the CTO, product managers, and design teams to align technical execution with business goals.Ensure compliance with data privacy standards like FERPA, COPPA, and GDPR.Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.Contribute to long-term technology planning, including AI scalability and modular platform design.Required Qualifications10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior engineering role.Strong hands-on experience with AI/ML-based applications, particularly in education or personalized learning.Proficiency in full-stack development using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python.Experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenAI APIs.Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and serverless architecture.Experience with data storage technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase.Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience building or contributing to an AI-based coding or learning platform.Experience working in an EdTech or mission-driven startup environment.Familiarity with FERPA/COPPA compliance and EdTech data security standards.Contributions to open-source AI or education-related projects.Why Join Dumroo.ai?Be part of a mission-driven team transforming the education landscape.Lead innovative, AI-driven product development.Remote-first culture with flexible working hours.Competitive compensation and equity opportunities.How to Apply:Please send your resume, GitHub or portfolio link, and a brief cover letter to with the subject line Lead Software Developer Application – Dumroo.ai.
