Join us in redefining the future of finance through innovation, technology, and a commitment to financial inclusivity.Position OverviewAt Rupeek, Engineering Managers (EMs) lead teams of diverse and high performing groups of people (avg span of 10-12 people) which are moving towards realising the company vision. The EM owns the entire engineering for their functional area and takes ownership of all activities like development (SLDC practices), support (incidents management), devops (infra planning, hygiene of production systems), product/tech roadmap and people (team health and dynamics) related to their area of influence.Job Title: Sr. Engineering Manager/ Engineering ManagerEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.Experience: 8-12 YearsLocation: BangaloreRole:The Engineering Manager role is expected to work on four different dimensions.People - Team motivation and growth, Performance management, Org Health, individual connect and partnering with people to meet their career aspirations.Product - Partnering with Biz and product to define the roadmap and new disruptions in the fintech domain.Tech - Partnering with Devs to ensure that the tech systems and roadmap are in place (and probably “ahead”) to support the product roadmap.Execution - Defining lean and efficient processes to continuously improve on production support, OKR execution, SDLC processes, and partnering with stakeholders on both the biz side and tech counterparts from other teams.This specific role is for the lending and post disbursement areas in Rupeek that directly deals with loan life cycle, lender integrations and LOS and LMS systems.Probable Candidate Description :A good EM candidate should have the below mandatory traits: Courage - Be able to ask the hard questions to people around, including her direct reports, stakeholders, and management.Visionary - Be able to visualise/define the long term vision and architecture for her product/tech platforms.A go-getter - We are a very fast growing company and we need people who can get things done reliably and in the right way.Empathetic and Trustworthy - We feel empathy and trust are the key ingredients for having deep connections with people around and building a very closely knit team.Practically, we feel that to develop all the above traits at the required level it will take anyone around 8-12 years of technical experience around building performant and scalable systems and at least 2-3 years of experience around managing a team.
