Job Title: Assistant Account Manager Job Location: Andheri, Mumbai Key Responsibilities: As an Assistant Account Manager, you will play a key role in managing a variety of financial and accounting tasks, ensuring smooth operations across vendor and customer accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Your primary duties will include: Oversee vendor payment processing, including account opening, reconciliation, and tracking advance payments with corresponding invoices. Ensure accurate TDS deductions on vendor payments as per regulations. Manage customer collections and reconciliations to ensure timely payments and accurate records. Responsible for customer invoicing and maintaining up-to-date customer account balances. Handle foreign payments, ensuring compliance with withholding tax regulations. Pass necessary accounting entries, including those related to bank payments. Support the weekly GRIR (Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt) report closing process. Ensure timely monthly account closing activities, including provisions, bank reconciliation, and GRIR reconciliation. Prepare monthly reports and share with the Global Accounting Team. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance, including the timely payment of taxes and filing of returns (income tax, GST, etc.). Liaise with consultants for compiling statutory details and handling tax-related matters. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and the compilation of information for various audits (statutory, tax, transfer pricing, and internal audits). Independently manage communication with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process. Utilize SAP software and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) for efficient data management, reporting, and analysis. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: 6-10 years in accounting and finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment. Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP and advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc. Tax & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of tax regulations, including income tax and GST, with experience in statutory compliance and liaising with consultants. Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with auditors, vendors, customers, and internal teams. Analytical Mindset: Ability to perform detailed financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making.
