Job Description: Synechron is seeking a talented ETL Testing and Automation Engineer with a robust background in Python, specifically using Pytest, to join our innovative team in Pune, Hinjewadi. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of ETL processes and be adept at automating testing for data pipelines and APIs. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test cases to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and quality across various data sources and targets. Utilize Python and Pytest to create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for ETL processes and API functionalities. Collaborate closely with data engineers and development teams to understand data flow, business requirements, and testing needs. Implement and manage data orchestration workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow or Databricks. Conduct thorough API testing to validate functionality, performance, and security of data services. Analyze and report test results, identify defects, and work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues promptly. Contribute to the development and enhancement of testing strategies and automation frameworks. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers to ensure code quality and best practices. Document testing processes, results, and defect reports clearly and concisely. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in ETL testing, automation, and software quality assurance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in ETL testing and automation. Strong hands-on experience with Python, particularly using Pytest for test automation. Proficiency in data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Databricks. Solid understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing principles, and data integration processes. Experience in API testing and automation, ensuring the quality and performance of services. Proficient in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
