This is a remote role but requires proximity to Chennai/Bangalore for periodic in-person meetings.About the Company:Our client is a disruptive D2C brand scaling rapidly across India, specialising in sustainable home essentials, known for its plastic-free, toxin-free kitchenware and zero-waste living products Backed by top-tier investors, they’re poised for 5X growth in the next 18 months.Location:Remote-first, but must be based in Chennai/Bangalore for investor/team meetings.Roles & Responsibilities:1. Financial Strategy & FundraisingLead end-to-end fundraising: Prepare pitch decks, financial models, and due diligence materials for Series A/B rounds.Manage investor relationships: Regular updates, cap table management, and post-funding compliance.Drive valuation discussions with VCs/PE firms and negotiate term sheets.2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Build scalable financial models for new product lines, geographies, and revenue streams.Oversee monthly/quarterly forecasting and scenario planning (best/worst case).Track unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback periods) and advise on profitability levers.3. Investor & Board ReportingPrepare board decks with actionable insights on burn rate, runway, and growth metrics.Ensure SEBI/regulatory compliance for fundraising and financial disclosures.4. Operational FinanceStreamline budgeting & cost control across marketing, ops, and R&D.Implement ERP/finance tools (e.g., Tally, Zoho) for real-time reporting.Manage GST, TDS, and audits with external CAs.Role Requirements:CA/ with 5-7 years’ experience in startups, preferably E-commerce / D2C.Proven track record in fundraising (VC/PE/debt) and investor relations.Expertise in financial modeling (DCF, cap tables, three-statement models).Familiarity with D2C metrics (repeat rate, AOV, inventory turnover).Experience with due diligence (financial, legal, or operational).Knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc) or SaaS tools.
