Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control Manager to lead our QC team in maintaining and enhancing the superior quality standards of our diamond jewellery products, exclusively manufactured for export. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring that every piece meets our exacting standards and exceeds customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures across all stages of jewellery production, from raw material inspection to final product evaluation. Set quality requirements for raw materials sourced from suppliers and monitor their compliance. Team Management: Supervise and mentor the quality control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and attention to detail. Provide training to staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices to uphold product excellence. Inspection and Testing: Oversee and conduct inspections and tests on jewellery components and finished products to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Ensure that all products meet internal quality standards and comply with international export regulations. Process Improvement: Analyze production processes to identify areas for quality enhancement and implement corrective actions to address root causes of quality issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and reduce waste, thereby improving overall product quality. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection results, test data, and corrective actions taken. Prepare and present detailed reports on quality performance metrics to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all quality control procedures comply with legal standards and health and safety regulations. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to continually refine quality control strategies and maintain a competitive edge. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control within the diamond jewellery manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of maintaining high-quality standards. Strong understanding of jewellery production processes and quality assurance methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Proficient in data analysis and statistical methods related to quality control. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and motivate a team effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear reporting and collaboration with other departments. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving and maintaining product excellence. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with international quality standards and export compliance related to diamond jewellery. Familiarity with quality improvement tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Total Quality Management (TQM). Proficiency in using quality control software and data analysis tools.
