Vendor Management and Relationship BuildingIdentify, vet, and onboard artisans, manufacturers, and suppliers specializing in marble, Parchin Kari, and related crafts.Build long-term relationships with vendors to ensure consistent quality and trust.Negotiate pricing, timelines, and production terms.2. Quality Control and AssuranceOversee production processes to ensure high-quality standards are met for all samples and finished products.Conduct regular site visits to monitor craftsmanship and inspect materials.Develop and implement quality control protocols for ongoing production.Address defects or inconsistencies swiftly and work with artisans to resolve issues.3. Material and Process ExpertiseStay updated on sourcing best practices for marble, inlays, and other materials.Research and test alternative materials or techniques to expand design possibilities.Ensure sustainable and ethical sourcing practices are followed.4. Collaboration with Design TeamsWork closely with designers to translate creative concepts into feasible production processes.Provide input on materials, techniques, and vendor capabilities during the design phase.Ensure artisans and manufacturers fully understand the design specifications.5. Logistics and Cost ManagementCoordinate the delivery of raw materials and finished products to meet deadlines.Track production costs and optimize sourcing strategies to align with budget goals.Forecast and plan for material needs based on production schedules and upcoming designs.Ideal Candidate ProfileExperience: 5+ years in sourcing or production management, preferably with artisan-driven crafts.Skills :Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.In-depth knowledge of marble, inlay work, and traditional craftsmanship techniques.Exceptional attention to detail for quality assurance.Personality Traits:Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills.Willing to travel frequently to artisan hubs.Culturally sensitive and able to build rapport with artisans.
