COMMERCIAL MANAGERCommercial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sales & operations of standalone boutiques and managing the business between CHANEL and external offline retail partners. This role involves leading the standalone boutique team, developing strong client relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring the brand's presence and performance in both exclusive CHANEL boutiques and partner locations.YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:Operations & Strategic Account Management:Oversee day-to-day operations of standalone boutiques.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with wholesaler/key accounts.Develop and implement comprehensive account plans.Collaborate with cross-functional teams for high standards of visual merchandising and seamless execution of account plans.Address concerns or issues with key accounts and boutique directors.Represent the brand at events and trade shows.Conduct commercial tours of clients: presentations and placements of product novelties for buy-ins.Inventory & Sales Management:Drive sales performance to consistently surpass targets and key performance indicators.Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts.Analyze sales data and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress & identify areas for improvement and minimize stockouts.Define and achieve sales targets for both retail and wholesale channels.Develop and implement innovative sales strategies.Provide inputs regarding stock levels to marketing and operations teams.Supervise non-sellable inventory levels to ensure optimal inventory levels of samples and testers.Reporting & Business Expansion:Monitor and analyze performance against KPIs, such as sales, client traffic, conversion rates, and client satisfaction.Deliver reports on boutique and key account performances.Identify opportunities to expand the business and improve performance & maximize growth.Conduct channel analysis and competitive assessments to identify new opportunities and challenges within the wholesale marketplace.Negotiate and manage existing contracts with key accounts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with all contractual obligations.Lead and coordinate new project openings.Participate in negotiation of new space, extension, and place with mall and wholesale partners.Proactively support marketing with local market/mall trends and competitor activities within the boutique catchment areas.Marketing Support & Client Engagement:Propose and implement local marketing and VM strategy.Act as the bridge between CHANEL and wholesalers’ marketing teams to execute impactful marketing campaigns and promotions.Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints.Monitor and analyze the impact of marketing campaigns.Participation in negotiation of trade activation plan for all key accounts.Provide insights and recommendations to optimize marketing presence and performance on wholesaler’s stores.Collaborate closely with marketing, Customer Experience & VM teams to generate and follow up on new initiatives.Team Engagement and Management:Ensure the retail team is engaged towards the brand strategy & goals.Manage and coordinate with partner retail boutiques in India.Be the single point of contact between the company and external retail partners.Ensure the retail teams have everything needed for smooth day-to-day operations and provide the best client experience.WHAT YOU WILL BRING6-7 years of experience in retail and strategic account management.Strong leadership skills including empathy, sociability, and adaptability.Proven track record in developing and implementing account plans.Strong analytical skills for monitoring turnover, budget, and market share.Experience in retail management, including mentoring boutique teams.Excellent leadership and communication skills.Passion for the brand and enthusiasm to contribute holistically.CHANEL is dedicated to creating the conditions for people to perform at their best, building on their strengths and enabling them to benefit from new opportunities.
