Job Overview:Head Business Development - Government Business will be responsible for providing strategic sales and operational leadership for the company. The person needs to closely work with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team to plan growth strategies for examination services business. This role is for our B2G segment; hence the clientele will mainly be top government officials.Business Head will be instrumental in scaling the business, expanding market presence, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Job ResponsibilitiesGovernment Relations and SalesCultivate and maintain strong relationships with government officials, agencies, and stakeholdersLead the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy to drive government contracts and partnershipsRepresent the company at public events, meetings, and functions to enhance visibility and reputationStrategic LeadershipDevelop and implement the company’s vision and strategic plan to guide the direction of the businessDrive the growth and profitability of the company by identifying new business opportunities and partnerships within the government sectorFoster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvementOperational ManagementOversee the company’s operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resourcesEstablish performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies for senior managementEnsure the company's operations comply with legal and regulatory requirementFinancial OversightDevelop and implement a robust financial strategy to enhance profitability and cash flowOversee the preparation of annual budgets, business financials and performance metricsIdentify and manage risks to ensure the company’s financial healthTeam Management & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop the senior management team to achieve organizational goalsPromote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to qualityEnsure effective recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies are in pJob SpecificationPost Graduate - MBA or other relevant advanced degreeMin. experience of 20 years in which min. 15 years exp. should be in Government sales / relationsStrong understanding of government procurement, sales & bidding processes and regulationsFinancial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and financial plans effectStrategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results
