About the CompanyThe Microsoft 365 Administrator/Engineer will be responsible for administering, securing, and optimizing the organization’s Microsoft 365 environment. This role involves managing endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune, securing identities and access through Entra ID, and ensuring data governance and compliance using Microsoft Purview. The candidate will collaborate with various teams to enhance collaboration, productivity, and security across the organization.ResponsibilitiesMicrosoft 365 Administration:Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Teams.Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 security features, including MFA, Conditional Access, and DLP.Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft 365-related service issues, outages, and performance problems.Monitor Microsoft 365 service health, audit logs, and security alerts.Microsoft Intune Administration:Configure, deploy, and manage devices using Microsoft Intune for endpoint management.Create and apply device compliance policies and configuration profiles for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.Manage application deployment and updates through Intune.Enforce security baselines, conditional access policies, and mobile device management (MDM) policies.Troubleshoot device enrollment, application deployment, and policy compliance issues.Entra ID (Azure AD) Management:Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) to ensure secure identity and access management.Configure Single Sign-On (SSO), Multifactor Authentication (MFA), and Conditional Access policies.Implement and maintain Privileged Identity Management (PIM) to manage access to critical resources.Monitor identity protection reports and respond to security events related to authentication and access.Ensure compliance with password policies, self-service password reset (SSPR), and account lifecycle management.Microsoft Purview and Compliance:Configure and manage Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance.Implement and monitor Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to protect sensitive data.Configure and enforce compliance policies, retention policies, and eDiscovery.Monitor and audit data activity to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure data privacy and security standards.Security and Compliance:Enforce Microsoft 365 security policies and ensure adherence to security frameworks.Conduct regular security assessments and audits of M365 environment.Implement threat protection solutions, including Defender for Office 365 and Microsoft Sentinel (if applicable).Configure and manage Microsoft 365 Defender to monitor and respond to threats.Technical Support and Troubleshooting:Provide technical support for M365-related issues, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Intune device compliance, policy application, and endpoint security.Investigate and resolve identity and authentication issues in Entra ID.Collaborate with IT Support/Helpdesk teams to handle escalated support requests.Project Management and Collaboration:Lead or assist in the planning and execution of M365 migrations, upgrades, and security enhancements.Develop and maintain technical documentation for configurations, policies, and procedures.Collaborate with cybersecurity, compliance, and IT support teams to align M365 services with organizational needs.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Equivalent professional experience will be considered.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and policy configuration.Expertise in managing and securing identities using Entra ID (Azure AD).In-depth understanding of Microsoft Purview for compliance, DLP, and eDiscovery.Proficiency in configuring and managing Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust security frameworks.Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and security compliance tools.Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.Experience:3–5 years of experience in managing Microsoft 365 environments.Proven experience in administering Intune, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Purview.Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST).Experience in supporting enterprise-scale M365 environments with security and compliance in mind.Preferred Certifications:Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateMicrosoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (Intune)Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (Purview)
