Job Description

Our client is leading shipping MNC with a global presence. To grow and support their marine technical team they are hiring for multiple positions :Marine Superintendent's(Based in Delhi)ORGANIZATION:Reporting to the Fleet Manager, you will be a key member in the ashore team in-charge of managing the operations and performance of merchant vessels assigned. Your key role is to ensure efficient and safe operations of the company’s vessels, quality management, and that all international marine requirements are adhered.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Key responsibilities include conducting internal audits and QHSE inspections on ships, investigating incidents and near misses.Providing safety and QHSE related training to officers and crew onboard and ashore.Assist with vessel operations, including marine, vetting, assurance and cargoCoordinate with vessel crews and shore-based teams to ensure smooth operations.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Manage budgeting and cost control for assigned vessels.Experience with Inspection reports and Corrective Action reports.Implement Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental standards.Reviewing risk assessments, assisting with documentation updates, monitoring vessels at critical ports and issuing work permits.Revising QHSE manuals, preparing safety bulletins, managing emergencies, and participating in safety campaigns.YOUR PROFILEYou must be a qualified Master Mariner, or equivalent diploma holder in marine/navigation.Minimum 12 months of sailing experience as master on Merchant Vessels is a must.Experience working ashore as Marine Superintendent or Surveyor is a plus, we are open to consider Masters who want to move ashore.Possess Shipboard ISM / ISPS code, Marine insurance, and Seamanship knowledge.People oriented and passionate about developing shipboard teams.Business acumen with capability to manage the budgetary responsibilities for multiple vessels.Good interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to communicate effectively with any stakeholder.Able to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.Well updated with the latest regulatory requirements and its implementation.THE OFFER:Professional development and growth opportunities.Opportunity to work with the best in the industry.RECRUITMENT PROCESS:Please apply with an updated resume.
