They help investors earn 12-14% XIRRs while assisting corporates, MSMEs, and government clients in transitioning to clean energy with zero upfront capital, saving 40-50% in electricity costs.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar Procurement and Technical Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful procurement, installation, operation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, with a focus on rooftop solar plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in PV systems, hands-on experience in installation and operations & maintenance (O&M), and the ability to perform quality checks, maintain plant performance data, and implement predictive maintenance strategies. This position requires on-site work and travel to project sites approximately once a month.Key Responsibilities- Procurement Management: - Source and procure high-quality solar components (modules, inverters, mounting structures, etc.) for rooftop PV systems, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with technical specifications. - Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards. - Coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. - Technical Expertise: - Leverage in-depth knowledge of PV systems to oversee system design, installation, and integration processes. - Provide technical guidance to installation teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards. - Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and O&M phases, proposing effective solutions. - Installation and O&M Experience: - Supervise and support on-site installation of solar rooftop plants, ensuring alignment with project timelines and specifications. - Conduct regular operations and maintenance activities, including cleaning, repairs, and system optimization, to maximize plant efficiency and longevity. - Implement predictive maintenance strategies using performance data to prevent downtime and enhance system reliability. - Quality Assurance: - Perform on-site quality checks to ensure installations meet industry standards, safety regulations, and company benchmarks. - Inspect equipment and systems for defects, inefficiencies, or deviations from design plans. - Document findings and recommend corrective actions as needed. - Plant Performance Monitoring: - Collect, analyze, and maintain detailed performance data for solar rooftop plants, identifying trends and areas for improvement. - Generate regular reports on plant efficiency, energy output, and operational status for internal and client review. - Use data insights to optimize system performance and inform maintenance schedules. - Travel and Site Coordination: - Travel to project sites (approximately once a month) to oversee installations, conduct quality audits, and address operational challenges. - Collaborate with on-site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.Qualifications and Skills- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in solar procurement, PV system installation, and O&M, preferably with rooftop solar plants. - Strong technical knowledge of photovoltaic systems, including components, design, and performance metrics. - Proven track record in procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain coordination. - Hands-on experience with quality assurance, predictive maintenance tools, and plant performance monitoring systems. - Ability to travel on-site as required (approximately once a month) and work in varying environmental conditions. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SCADA systems) and familiarity with solar monitoring software is a plus. - Certification in solar energy (e.g., NABCEP or equivalent) is an advantage.Working Conditions- On-site role requiring physical presence at project locations. - Once a Month travel to sites across regions, with potential for extended stays depending on project needs. - Exposure to outdoor environments, including rooftops, with adherence to safety protocols mandatory.Joining: ImmediateWhy Join Us?Be part of a dynamic team driving the future of renewable energy.
